"This portrait, Conversation piece, is a celebration of my twenty-year friendship with artist, critic and author, Elwyn Lynn. It is a homage to him as my mentor, a role he assumed for me when I first met him as a young fledgling artist.
"We are depicted in a typical pose, conversing about art in Elwyn's studio, surrounded by his work and books which reflect the spirit of the man."
